The NSF is the biggestcertification in the water industry. The goal of this program is to provideassurance to consumers that the water treatment devices they are purchasing meetthe design, material, and performance requirements of national standards fordrinking water. There is a big differencebetween the label that states "Tested to meet NSF standard" vs. "Tested andCertified by NSF".
a) "Tested to meet NSF standard" simply means that some one, it can be you oranyone test the filter and claims it to be good. Therefore, reliability can be aconcern.
b) "Tested and Certified by NSF" is the real one from NSF itself.
Probably, only less than 5% of the filters in the world is "Tested and Certifiedby NSF". Life is good
